The included poem was written by Grant White; my great grandfather. He lived in Tracy, California where he was known as the "Songbird of the (San Joaquin) Valley" by those who listened to him recite his works on a local radio station. A man of many talents, Grant even printed and hand bound all of his poetry books (and did a surperb job).
